Rebel Hair Studio was recommended to me by a friend when I first moved to Nutley. I'm very picky about my haircuts but Marisa immediately made me feel comfortable with her knowledge, expertise, and affable personality. During this past visit to Rebel, Luca also assisted with washing and drying my hair and they were a delight- the hair washing was so relaxing and another highlight of the appointment. Marisa listened to all of my requests and gave me the best haircut I've had in years! My hair felt so shiny, healthy, and light. I made sure to book my next appointment before leaving. 10 out of 10 experience, would highly recommend!

Lucy has been my daughter’s stylist for the past six months and she’s been taking care of her hair color ever since. My daughter had a very specific tone in mind and Lucy guided her through it and got the color to a place she absolutely loved. She’s patient, makes her feel comfortable, and always shares tips on how to care for colored hair. She also helps us stay on track with future appointments so the color stays fresh. The salon feels welcoming and relaxed, never rushed, and just a really nice experience every time. Definitely recommend them, especially for younger girls.

Love this place!!!! Marisa is an amazing business owner and you can tell by how happy her staff is! I've had my hair done by Angie a year ago and this time by Amber and I loved my experience both times! I was extremely lucky to meet with Angie last week, and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. My previous stylist left her salon and moved out of state so I needed to find someone new. After some research on local salons, Rebel Salon seemed to be friendly and inclusive which is something I want to see when supporting local businesses. I filled out a new client form online and was then scheduled for an in-person consult. Immediately it was obvious that Angie was super friendly and understanding. SHE took the time to ask about my needs, offering thoughtful recommendations for a color and cut that would help me reach my hair goals. I hadn’t gotten my hair done in over five months, so my roots were long overdue, and Angie was the first stylist to work with me without using bleach—a huge plus since being blonde can really take a toll on your hair. It was my first time at this salon and with Angie, yet they made me feel like a longtime client. The salon itself is clean, welcoming, and there’s plenty of street parking available. The team is inclusive, respectful, and extremely talented. Angie will definitely be my go-to stylist from now on!

I loved my experience with Lucy! I went in hoping to get something new for me--bangs/shag--and Lucy listened to me every step of the way, went with the flow when I changed my mind, asked questions, gave her professional opinion & recommendations for styling, products, etc. when I asked. Let me know the oils I'd been adding to my hair were actually doing damage. The cut felt like a collaboration with a really knowledgeable friend :) Honestly best haircut I've had in my life--left feeling on top of the world, still days later brimming with confidence and staring at myself in the mirror. The vibes in the whole studio were upbeat and fun and chill, very open and warm. They gave me lavender prosecco for Valentine's Day :) Highly recommend the clarifying hair treatment. Great place, great stylist, great cut! Highly recommend!
